Congratulations to the 2017 Show Winners!

Arett Raffle Winners

There were two exciting raffles this year at Arett’s Open House show thanks to LFS Gloves who provided the Yeti Cooler and Weber, who provided the Weber grill.

Rachael Patterson Grab from Becker’s Farm won the Weber raffle, consisting of a Genesis E-210 Gas Weber Grill. This grill is designed to fit on a balcony or small patio with an exclusive GS4 grilling system. It retails at $599. Congratulations to Rachael!

The second winners were Sandra and Bill Kasper from The Garden Gate. LFS Glove provided a white YETI 45 Quart Cooler. This cooler is made for durability with two inches of PermaFrost Insulation, describing it as “damn near indestructible”. It has textured grips for holding and is designed to have molded-in tie-down slots with non-slip feet, making it a perfect cooler for the beach or a lake. This cooler retails for $350. Congratulations, Sandra and Bill Kasper!

Bonide Money Booth Winners

At the Arett Open House, The Lawn Depot of Doylestown, PA won 10,000 circulars at the Bonide money booth.

Steve Smith and Carolyn Pfaff were the winners at Bonide’s ever popular money booth. The Lawn Depot will receive 10,000 circulars designed, printed, and mailed to customers in their area.

"We have been working with our Bonide representative, Tim Gannon, on expanding our line of Bonide products,” said Pfaff, “as it pertains to our business as we have a particular niche when it comes to lawns. We were chosen to participate in Bonide's money booth game at the Arett show in Atlantic City, which enabled us to earn advertising dollars toward a mailer through Greensmith. We are thrilled to have had that opporotunity and look forward to working with both Bonide and Greensmith!"

Congratulations to The Lawn Depot and thank you to Bonide for hosting this exciting attraction in their booth.

Golf Tournament

Arett Open Golf Tournament - Sunday, September 10, 2017

2017 marked the 11th year for the Arett Open Golf Tournament. Each year, the proceeds of the tournament are donated to Angel Flight East (AFE). AFE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the community by facilitating free air transportation to patients in need of medical care far from home. Over the years, Arett and its vendor sponsors have raised more than $100,000 for Angel Flight.

AFE's Director, Ellen Williams, was at the tournament along with the Star of the Show – Reid LeBeau and his mother, Jodi. Reid is a 2-year old little boy from Milford, Delaware who was diagnosed with a severe intestinal disease when he was born. Through donations to Angel Flight, Reid is able to fly to and from Children's Hospital in Boston for treatments.

We would like to thank all of the vendors who sponsored the golf tournament. The Arett Open would not be possible without their support. We would especially like to thank Bond who sponsored the barbeque lunch, Danner who sponsored the lunch bar, Reckitt who sponsored the beverage cart, and Weber who sponsored the $95,000 Hole in One Contest.

Our 50/50 raffle winner was the foursome of Jim Williams from Arett, Ken Stuursma from The HC Companies, Kim Legault from Bonide, and Danny Ginsberg from Primex Garden Center. They donated the winnings to Angel Flight East.

Our Closest to the Pin contest (5'3"), which was sponsored by Bonide, was won by Joe Stripoli of North Shore Garden Center in Port Washington, New York.

The Longest Drive Contest (400 yards!), sponsored by Dalen, was won by Danny Ginsberg from Primex Garden Center in Glenside, PA.

Two teams tied for the lowest score at 12 under par. After the tie breaker, the 2nd place team award went to Magnolia Garden Village in Magnolia, NJ. And the 1st place team was Seeton Turf located in Egg Harbor, NJ.
